Brian Rust

Earthen Bridge, 1996 and Earthen Bridge Reconstructed, 2006
Brian Rust was born and raised in Washington. He attended the University of Washington in Seattle, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts. He later attended the University of California in Berkeley, where he received a Master’s degree in Fine Arts. He is currently a professor of Foundation and Upper Division Sculpture at Augusta State University in Augusta, Georgia. Rust has exhibited work all over the country, including his work in the South Carolina Botanical Garden (Earthen Bridge and Earthen Bridge Reconstructed). Several of Rust’s collage works are currently on display at the Mary Pauline Gallery in Augusta.
