For several years we have wanted to have something people could download onto their mobile devices to help guide them through the garden and sculptures. More than once students in Dr. Wolfe’s classes began the process of developing such a product. However, the task always proved to be too great, or too technically advanced. Just when we were ready to give up, Taylor Hoynacki mentioned her friend Josiah. Within weeks, a mobile app was in the works. Taylor and Dr. Wolfe took Josiah on a tour of the sculptures so he could use GPS to map the trails between each sculpture. He was then able to overlay that information and the sculpture icons on a satellite photo. In addition, he added links to all the great information on our website. Finally, he embedded a survey we created so we could get some feedback. The final product exceeded our highest expectations. Enjoy.
Many thanks to Josiah Hester of Pacific Hi-Tech for developing our app.
