Patrick Dougherty, the artist behind the SCBG’s Sittin’ Pretty and Spittin’ Image , is currently working with the Palo Alto Art Center in Palo Alto, California on a site-specific installation. Dougherty, whose work is both inspired by and centered around the environment, mainly saplings, told spectators at the Palo Alto Art Center that his sculpture would be fully recyclable. The sculpture, currently unnamed, began January 30, 2011 and will be featured at the Palo Alto Art Center until January 30, 2012.
